Perry Takes Umbrage At Obama’s ‘Lazy’ Remarks In New TV Ad

Rick Perry has lately been trying to rejuvenate his flagging campaign by using some of the millions of dollars he took in last quarter to bump up his TV advertising presence on cable outlets like Fox News, especially in the early primary state of Iowa.

The campaign is out today with a new installment. In this ad spot, titled, “Lazy,” Perry picks up – like Mitt Romney before him – on President Obama’s remarks at a summit last weekend. The President was discussing America’s ability to remain competitive in a globalized economy. He said:

“We’ve been a little bit lazy over the last couple of decades. We’ve kind of taken for granted — ‘Well, people would want to come here’ — and we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new businesses into America.”

Perry’s new ad quotes only the top of these remarks, and shows the Texan governor taking great umbrage. Watch below:
