Ron Paul told CNN Wednesday that he is staying in the race to have an impact on the party agenda, not to disrupt the convention. Paul’s recent successes at several state conventions has raised speculation that Paul delegates to the national convention could make trouble for Romney on the convention floor.

“It certainly isn’t for the reason of disrupting the convention,” Paul said. “I’m in it for very precise reasons: to maximize our efforts to get as many delegates as we can. I’m still a candidate, and to promote something that is very, very important, that is a change in the direction for the Republican Party. … I think moving an agenda is very important.”
