Mitt Romney’s campaign is premised on the idea that he has a record of job creation at Bain Capital and knows how to create jobs. On CNN’s GPS, Paul Krugman said that Bain is not good training for creating jobs as president. He knows how to make money in private equity, Krugman said. But that’s different from the macro-economic policy a president needs to use. Bain has basically “zero relationship to what he would have to do as president.”
