The Ohio University police are investigating an alleged shooting at a residence hall on the Athens campus of Ohio University, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Katie Quaranta, a spokesperson for campus police, said that police are investigating the shooting.

The shooting was reported at Gamertsfelder Hall, a dormitory currently housing summer students, according to the Dispatch.

As of about 4:30 p.m., police did not find any evidence of a shooting at Gamertsfelder Hall and were expanding their search to the school’s East Campus, according to Quaranta.

As of about 5:15 p.m., police had still found no evidence of a shooting on East Campus, according to Quaranta.
