President Barack Obama on Tuesday will pay homage to the 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only NFL team that completed a perfect season.
The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. ET at the White House’s East Room.
With then-President Richard Nixon embroiled in the Watergate scandal at the time, the team was not invited to the White House after it won the Super Bowl. According to the Associated Press, representatives for the team recently suggested a belated White House visit.
