President Obama will on Thursday in Cleveland deliver a speech meant to contrast his own economic policies with Mitt Romney’s, reports the Wall Street Journal. The speech comes after a few tough weeks for the president’s campaign due to unsettling news about jobs and the economy.
Though Obama is not expected to make any major policy announcements, aides described it as a “framing” speech. The Journal reports that there were a series of internal debates about what the president should say Thursday.
