Obama Thanks Congress For Passing Measure To Arm Syrian Rebels

President Obama on Thursday thanked Congress for passing a measure that permits Obama to arm and train moderate Syrian rebels fighting ISIS.

Obama praised the bipartisanship and said he was pleased with “speed and serious with which they approached this urgent issue.”

The President also reiterated that American troops in Iraq do not and will not have a combat mission.
