Obama: Texas Will Be A Battleground State ‘Soon’

President Obama sees a purple future for the deep red state of Texas. Speaking to supporters in San Antonio Tuesday, Obama said Texans won’t be getting the swing state ads this cycle, but he predicted they will in future elections. 

“You’re not considered one of the battleground states,” he said, “although that’s going to be changing soon.”

The line drew cheers from the crowd and came after Obama hit Mitt Romney hard on immigration.
