Jen Psaki, President Obama’s new traveling campaign press spokeswoman, offered a bit more response to today’s disappointing jobs report showing the economy added only 80,000 jobs in the month of June.
“We know we’re moving in the right direction, and the jobs — we’ve seen positive signs in the jobs numbers,” Psaki said during a gaggle onboard Air Force One today.
Earlier today, President Obama said the economy was “still tough” but the jobs report was “a step in the right direction.”
