Obama Phones Secretary Of Navy To Offer Condolences

President Barack Obama phone Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus on Monday afternoon to express his condolences to the families and colleagues of the victims of the shooting at Navy Yard in Washingon, D.C. today.

The president also commended Navy personnel and first responders who arrived at the scene, according to a White House readout of the call. Thirteen people have been confirmed dead, including the gunman.
