New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) met with President Obama at the White House on Thursday to advocate for additional federal assistance and funds for Sandy-ravaged states on the East Coast, the Associated Press reports. Obama is expected to ask Congress for about $50 billion in assistance.
