President Barack Obama on Monday will conduct a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House said.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 11:15 a.m. ET in the Oval Office. According to the White House, the two plan to discuss “the progress on final status negotiations with the Palestinians, as well as developments in Iran, Syria, and elsewhere in the region.” Vice President Joe Biden is also expected to attend.
Obama will host Netanyahu days after his historic phone call with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. Reuters reported that Netanyahu will use the meeting to urge the United States to keep the pressure on Iran and its nuclear program.
