Obama, Karzai Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement

President Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai just signed the strategic partnership agreement, laying out the details of the U.S. relationship with Afghanistan after U.S. troops withdraw. Obama called the occasion a “historic moment for our two nations,” according to the pool report. “I’m here to affirm the bond between our two countries and to thank Americans and Afghans who have sacrificed so much over these past 10 years,” Obama added.

Senators Harry Reid and Carl Levin were also present.
