Preisdent Obama played up his own education at three of the nation’s top colleges and universities in a video highlighting his administration’s education policy.
“I had a chance to go to great colleges and a great law school,” he said, “and I didn’t come from a rich background, but I was able to get scholarships and loans and those doors were open for me.”
The video highlighted the administration’s support for Pell grants for undergratuate students and its Race to the Top program, which rewards state and local governments that make reforms in education with competitive grants.
