Obama: Congress Needs To Extend Payroll Tax Cut Now

President Obama on Tuesday urged Congress to pass an extension of the payroll tax cut. The tax cut extension should be passed “without drama” or delay, Obama said, with “no ideological sideshows to gum up the works.”

Congressional Republicans have indicated that they are willing to extend the tax cut without any pay-fors, but Obama cautioned that nothing is certain until his signature is on a bill.
