Hurricane Sandy, which is on a path towards the east coast, could throw a wrench in both campaigns’ plans in addition disrupting millions of residents’ lives. According to the Obama campaign, their first priority is safety right now.
“The campaign is closely monitoring the storm and will take all necessary precautions to make sure our staff and volunteers are safe,” OFA spokesman Adam Fetcher said in an e-mail. “Our historic grassroots organization continues to run at full speed in Eastern battleground states to persuade undecided voters and get our supporters out to the polls between now and Election Day.”
