The Obama campaign is adding almost $150,000 to an ad buy for one of its recent spots attacking Romney’s record at Bain Capital, reports CNN. The ad, called “Steel,” went up earlier this month in a small ad buy in five swing states. In “Steel,” workers from a closed GST Steel plant discuss losing their jobs at the Kansas City factory under Bain’s watch. According to CNN, the original ad buy was for less than $100,000 in Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
With the new buy, the campaign is hoping to appeal to blue-collar workers in Ohio where, according to CNN, that the ad will now run through Friday in the Ohio and West Virginia markets of Youngstown, Toledo, Charleston-Huntington and Wheeling.
