While still abroad on a trip through Southeast Asia, President Obama called Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi on Monday, stressing the need of ending Hamas rocket fire into Israel and discussing possibilities of a peaceful solution to the six-day conflict that has taken up to 100 lives in Gaza, per a White House pool report. Obama then called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to seek an update on the situation.
