President Obama is set to tape an episode of ‘Running Wild’ with the TV wilderness survival expert Bear Grylls during his trip to Alaska this week, according to NBC.

Obama plans to appear on the show “to observe the effects of climate change” on the Alaskan wilderness, according to a statement from the network. The episode will air on NBC later this year.

Grylls is well known for the extreme survival techniques, like drinking his own urine and eating maggots, that he employs on the show, although doubt has been cast on the show’s authenticity.

Obama’s trip to Alaska already made headlines for his renaming of Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America, ahead of his trip.

This season of “Running Wild” features Grylls taking celebrities — Channing Tatum, Zac Efron, and Kate Winslet among them — on wilderness trips.
