The Obama campaign released an ad Monday that questions Mitt Romney’s readiness to tackle foreign policy issues given his “knee-jerk” reaction to the crisis in Libya and “gaffe-filled” trip overseas in July. The ad comes the same day Romney will make a foreign policy address in Virginia to layout his approach toward the Middle East. The ad is running in Virginia.

“If this is how he handles the world now, just think what Mitt Romney might do as president,” the narrator says in the ad.

The campaign also released a memo attacking Romney’s foreign policy.
