The National Republican Congressional Committee has a new TV ad in Utah targeting Rep. Jim Matheson, the sole Democratic member of Congress from this deeply Republican state.
The ad shows video of Matheson addressing what appears to be a party crowd, declaring, “I’m a Democrat, and I’m here to tell you I don’t run from that label,” and also, “That’s why I alone among the Utah delegation supported President Obama’s jobs legislation.”
The announcer says: “Matheson is Barack Obama’s biggest supporter in Utah. What’s happened to Jim Matheson? He’s changed.”
