Former Rep. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR) announced Tuesday that the National Rifle Association has model legislation to allow armed personnel in schools.

“We have to adopt changing the law so it allows a firearm to be carried by school personnel when they go through this model training program,” Hutchinson said at a press conference, according to a rush transcript. “We have a model state law that can be considered for this purpose.”
