The nonprofit group Americans United for Separation of Church and State is calling on the Kentucky legislature to nix budget funding that would benefit a proposed creationist theme park in the state. The state plans on spending $2 million on a road project that the nonprofit group says would benefit the park. The state’s Transportation Cabinet says the road construction is being paid for to address concerns about increased traffic.

The theme park’s groundbreaking has been delayed because of slow fundraising.
