The National Baseball Hall of Fame will welcome no new inductees this year, the Baseball Writers Association of American announced Wednesday. It’s the first time since 1996 that no one will enter the Hall.
Voters opted against inducting former stars Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Roger Clemens — all of whom were suspected of using performance enhancing drugs during their careers — in their first year of eligibility.
