On the campaign trail, Mitt Romney likes to call the members of the NLRB “labor stooges” and railes against the Board — particularly in South Carolina where the NLRB was recently involved with Boeing there. But Romney has a few more connections to the Board as well.

The New York Times reports that one of Romney’s top campaign advisors, Peter Schaumber, actually served on the board from 2002-2010. Moreover, while there, he signed onto two opinions finding that two companies under Bain Capital’s control violated labor law. Romney, who ran Bain when the companies were acquired, had left the company by the time the rulings came down.
