Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) will speak during a press conference at 6:30 p.m. ET ahead of the grand jury’s decision whether to charge Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting of Michael Brown.

Nixon and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay “will be calling for peace and discussing preparations to protect the public and free speech,” according to a statement from Nixon’s office.
