Connecticut State Medical Examiner H. Wayne Carver II said Sunday that someone had claimed the body of Adam Lanza, who killed himself after going on a shooting rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. on Dec. 14.
Carver said the body had been claimed several days ago by someone who wanted to remain anonymous, The Hartford Courant reports. Lanza’s burial site is not being disclosed
Update: A spokesman for the family told the Associated Press that the gunman’s body was claimed by his father, Peter Lanza. Peter Lanza lives in Stamford, Conn., and is a tax director at General Electric.
