Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich on Wednesday offered his party some introspective advice about governing and mounting successful elections, echoing a former Obama slogan from 2008.
“We have to get beyond being anti-Obama and we have to reconvince people that you can have hope in America,” Gingrich told Chairman Reince Priebus at a Republican National Committee meeting in Boston, Mass.
The 2012 Republican presidential candidate also touched upon the issues of immigration reform, how the GOP can attract more Hispanics in 2016, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s possible candidacy and the effect of new technology upon government.
