Newt Gingrich suggested Mitt Romney hold an “ind-depth press conference” in order to explain how Bain Capital laid off workers at companies it bought out.
According to Gingrich’s understanding of recent reports, Bain “acquired a company, in essence looted it, then laid off 750 people.” Democrats have also been going after Romney on the issue, who says that Bain’s successes in turning around companies ultimately outweighed its failures.
