Newt Gingrich Says Portman Most Likely VP Choice

In an interivew with Politico Tuesday, Newt Gingrich picked Ohio Sen. Rob Portman as the most likely Mitt Romney VP pick:

Gingrich said the strongest vice presidential possibilities are, in order of most likely, Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, New Orleans Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty.

Gingrich said former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is “a longer shot” though not “inconceivable.”
