Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) re-election campaign questioned challenger and businessman Matt Bevin’s conservative bona fides in a new ad Monday.

“Matt Bevin wants Kentucky voters to believe he is a Tea Party conservative, but just like everything else he’s said since becoming a candidate, he’s simply not telling the truth,” said press secretary Allison Moore in a statement. “With a past history of support for Democrat candidates, and an East Coast business record that is anything but fiscally responsible, Bailout Bevin is not a Kentucky conservative.”
