The New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper published an editorial on Saturday saying that the GOP and Fox News were “out to kill” the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary.

The board at the Union Leader called Fox and the Republican National Committee the “mirror image” of the Democratic Party, which, according to the paper, had favored Hillary Clinton by limiting the number of debates.

The editorial continued:

The Republican Party and Fox are trying to rig it by limiting the number of candidates still viable by the time New Hampshire gets to cast the first votes. Solid candidates with a small purse but a sound message used to be able to make the grade by doing well here. By excluding such candidates from nationally-televised debates, just as voters are starting to pay closer attention, their campaigns are jeopardized.

Fox News personnel have bragged about all this, saying they will “winnow the field” before the field even gets to New Hampshire. The Republican National Committee is in on the scheme. It claims not to interfere with the debate process but notice how quick it was to dump CNBC when candidates and the public denounced CNBC’s loaded questions.
