Nelson Up 14 Points In Florida Senate Race

Incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson leads Republican Rep. Connie Mack by 14 points in the Florida Senate race, according to the latest poll released Wednesday. A Quinnipiac University/New York Times/CBS News poll of likely voters in Florida shows Nelson has expanded his lead in the last month from 50 percent to 41 percent in late August to 53 percent to 39 percent in late September. 

The same poll showed President Obama up 9 points in the crucial swing state. The PollTracker Average currently shows Nelson leading Mack, 47.9 percent to 38.2 percent.
