Ms. magazine canceled the remainder of a blog series about guns after a writer’s home address surfaced in comments by pro-gun advocates, the New York Times reported on Friday.
Times columnist Joe Nocera published a portion of an email Ms. editor Michele Kort sent to the writer, Heidi Yewman, who had written a three-part series about buying a gun and carrying it with her. Ms. published the first part on June 12 but decided not to publish the next two because, according to the email, “they’ll only fire up the troops again, and we’re just not equipped to handle this on our blog.”
Kort declined to comment to Nocera on the record about the decision.
