The liberal advocacy group MoveOn, which was decidedly anti-Iraq war during the Bush administration, is calling on its members to vote whether to support President Barack Obama’s proposed military strike of Syria in response to a reported chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime.

“Dear MoveOn member, we need your help making an important decision,” reads an email sent to the group’s supporters. “Because MoveOn is its members, the stance MoveOn takes on this issue will be decided by MoveOn members.”

Members are invited to vote via MoveOn’s website with polling open through Wednesday 10 am ET.

A MoveOn spokesman told BuzzFeed Sunday that the group’s members remain “opposed to U.S. military intervention in Syria and are making their opinion known to members of Congress,” however.
