MoveOn.org has a new attack ad targeting Mitt Romney running in Iowa. The 30 second spot, entitled “Mitt Romney is Mr. 1% quotes Union Leader publisher Joe McQuaid dismissing the candidate as representing corporate America.
“It’s not often that MoveOn and the publisher of the Union Leader agree,” said Justin Ruben, Executive Director of MoveOn.org. “Millionaire Mitt Romney is Mr. 1%, and the epitome of corporate greed run amok. A former CEO, Romney made his millions by buying up companies, cutting thousands of jobs, and then turning around and reaping the profits. Iowa voters deserve to know the truth. Romney has a proven record of governing for and by the corporations, and there is no doubt that he represents the 1%.”
The ad will run for a week on CNN and MSNBC in Iowa.
