Richard Mourdock, the Indiana state treasurer who’s running a primary challenge to incumbent Republican Sen. Dick Lugar, is up with a new radio ad Monday accusing Lugar of having lost touch with his constituents while away in Washington.

“During those 36 years in Washington,” a narrator says, “Dick Lugar lost touch with Hoosier conservative values and became Obama’s favorite Republican.”

The minute-long spot covers a lot of ground, accusing Lugar of putting up dishonest and over-the-top attack ads, losing touch and voting for Obama’s Supreme Court nominees and TARP, among others.

The Indiana Senate primary is May 8. Listen to the ad here
