MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” descended into a shouting match on Monday morning as panelists battled over whether former President Bill Clinton’s past sex scandals were relevant to his wife Hillary Clinton’s presidential run.
It started with host Joe Scarborough asking if, “in the age of Cosby,” the past claims of sexual assault and harassment against Bill Clinton were relevant to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Frequent “Morning Joe” panelist Harold Ford Jr. then tried to answer that query before Scarborough interrupted him, saying, “This is important because this is what Clinton defenders always do: They try to distract.”
Scarborough then put on an affected Southern accent to mimic steadfast Clinton supporter and adviser James Carville.
Ford fired back saying “raising your voice at me” doesn’t prove Scarborough’s argument. He further argued, “comparing Bill Clinton to Bill Cosby is wrong.”
