Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has donated $10 million to Newt Gingrich in January, propping up a campaign that wasn’t bringing on enough money to run a competitive campaign. On MSNBC, the Wall Street Journal’s Alicia Mundy reported that there’s even more money coming his way. That money could well come from Adelson, but also Adelson’s “friends.” Once word was out that Adelson was backing Gingrich, said Mundy, his friends decided to chip in as well.

Adelson’s biggest reason for supporting Gingrich is Gingrich’s promise to move the embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Adelson also opposes a two-state solution, and Gingrich would adopt a strong pro-Israel policy.
