Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) reaffirmed that he will sign right-to-work legislation headed to his desk, during an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday. “Let’s just get this done,” Snyder said, shortly after the Michigan legislature gave final approval to the bill.
Snyder insisted that the move is about resolving contentious labor issues in the state and creating jobs. “I didn’t view any of this to get into the politics of it,” Snyder said. “This is a policy issue.”
“Over the last month or so people in Michigan [knew] about this issue, and there’s been lots of ways to contact legislators, so I think there’s been a lot of dialogue on this,” Snyder said. “And let’s just get this done. This is to move Michigan forward. About more and better jobs and worker choice.”
