First Lady Michelle Obama sure knows how to throw a punch.
In a video released on Tuesday, she demonstrated five exercises she uses to stay fit. The YouTube video was her response to President Barack Obama’s challenge to demonstrate five ways in which “she moves.”
The “#GimmeFive” challenge and video were part of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign in which she encourages kids and adults to stay active and lead healthy lives.
In the video, Michelle Obama, 51, does jump squats, roundhouse kicks and bench presses under the guidance of her trainer Cornell McClellan, a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. McClellan also serves as the narrator of the video, breaking down each exercise and its execution and benefits while pump-up music plays in the background.
