CHARLOTTE — Following her well-received convention speech her Tuesday night, Michelle Obama is set to address two of the Democratic Party’s key demographic groups: African Americans and Hispanics.

In back-to-back speeches Wednesday morning, Obama will address the two caucuses. Democrats here say she knocked it out of the park on the podium Tuesday and they’re looking to capitalize on that with groups whose turnout numbers could determine the fate of the election.

The feeling among Democrats in Charlotte Wendesday morning is palpable.

“We had a good night last night,” one party staffer told TPM. “But Michelle had a really good night.”
