In her Daily Beast column published Monday night, Meghan McCain describes her visit to the Occupy Wall Street protests at Zuccotti Park.
“What struck me more than anything is that for the first time possibly in history, people aren’t being given the same opportunities that my parents and grandparents had,” McCain commented.
“If people aren’t given a fair shot, how can they work to achieve their dreams?” she asked before concluding “but through all the pot smoke and distracting costumes, I’m not sure if that message is getting out.”
