Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has released a new web video as part of his 2014 re-election bid in which he touts the Republican Party and conservative principles.
The 2-minute-long video is narrated by McConnell, who begins by stating that poor and middle class Americans are struggling under President Obama. He promises to fight ‘Obamacare’ and “every other assault on liberty that the left throws at us.”
McConnell then launches into an ode to the GOP as music grows louder in the background. “We are the party of compassion,” he says. “We are the party of immigrants. We are the party of hard working taxpayers. We are the party of mobility, opportunity, growth, life, liberty, optimism and innovation.”
The video ends with a call to action for conservatives, who he says “own” the princples of the Founding Fathers.
