Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill has already launched a website highlighting the far-right positions of her Republican challenger Rep. Todd Akin. Democrats had hoped Akin would win Tuesday’s primary, believing his long House record and extreme views would give McCaskill the best chance at re-election in her increasingly red state.

“Throughout his campaign, Todd Akin has adopted policy stances that align with the most conservative members of Congress,” the website reads. “If elected, Akin would privatize Medicare and Social Security, eliminate federal support for student loans, abolish the federal minimum wage, and preserve taxpayer subsidies for big oil and gas companies.”

The website also includes video of Akin.

“What voters want right now is for candidates to be honest about where they stand,” Erik Dorey, McCaskill campaign spokesman, said in a press release. “[S]o we’re letting Todd Akin speak for himself.”
