Sen. John McCain on Friday morning criticized President Obama for calling the deaths of four Americans in Libya “not optimal.”

“Well, the optimal line, of course, is very regrettable and makes me a little sad,” McCain said on Fox News. President Obama’s line was in response to a question from Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show” Thursday evening. Stewart pressed the president to admit the administration’s response was not “optimal.”
