Maureen Dowd on Monday responded to former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, who opined that the New York Times columnist is a bit of a one-trick pony.
“I don’t normally read Maureen,” Gibbs, now an MSNBC contributor, said during an appearance on the network. “I don’t largely because it’s sort of largely the same column for the last, like, eight years.”
In an email to Politico, Dowd responded in her signature prose.
”I don’t normally listen to Robert,” she wrote. “I don’t largely because it’s sort of largely the same tired defense of President Obama for the last, like, six years.”
