Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick told the Democratic National Convention audience in Charlotte Tuesday that when Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts, he was more interested in “having the job than doing the job.” Romney talks about all the things he’s fixed, but Massachusetts was not one of them, Patrick said.

Patrick — who is considered part of the Obama generation of young, black Democrats — said he will “not stand by” and let the president be “bullied out of office.”
