Mark Kelly, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ (D-AZ) husband, told CNN after testifying at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on gun violence Wednesday that many of the Republican senators seemed inclined to act on background checks, but not assault weapon or high-capacity magazine bans.
“But I really think they need to think about this,” Kelly said. “These guns were made to kill a lot of people all at once. Designed, basically, for use by the military.”
