Man Who Was Shot Trying To Stop Friend From Driving Drunk Dies

A man who was shot last week in Cleveland, Ohio while trying to stop his friend from driving drunk has died from his injuries, a Fox news affiliate in Cleveland reported on Saturday.  

Java Bowling III, 43, was shot in the chest on August 3. Police said he was trying to take his friend’s keys to prevent him from driving drunk. 

The suspect, Scott Campbell Sr., 40, fled the scene, but was later arrested. He was originally charged with felonious assault and having weapons under disability.
